A Place to Play

New Milford children have a new place to play –the Creative Playground on Pickett District Road. The old playground was razed and a new one was put up last fall. In recognition of Earth Day last month, YardScapes Landscaping recently paid a visit to the site to provide landscaping. Although the playground has been open to the public for months, the officialgrand opening will be held May 22 at 5:30 p.m.Festivities will include an opening ceremony, music, raffle prizes, food and beverages, and free commemorative T-shirts to the first 100 children. In addition, the New Milford Recreation Association will sponsor a screening of “Tooth Fairy” on a giant screen adjacent to the playground at sundown.
