Snow Plowing & Ice Treatments – These services are exclusively for our residential and commercial clients who already have a “green season” landscape maintenance contract with us. Since we are familiar with the property when it is not blanketed in snow, this policy removes any possibility of damage to a client’s property and/or hardscaping while also eliminating potential hazards to our staff, trucks, or equipment. Snow plowing service includes: plowing driveways, shoveling walkways, and ice control. We can set up a schedule based on the client needs but Mother Nature will always dictate.
Plant Protection: There are effective and economical ways to protect your trees and plantings from desiccation (extreme moisture loss), sunscald, strong winds, bright sun, and breakage from heavy snow and ice. Young plants do not have established root systems and tree species with thin bark are susceptible to sunscald. Winterizing helps ensure their health throughout the seasons because damage can cause death or invite pests and disease. Arborvitaes and fully exposed, young, or weak plants benefit by being protected from the harsh winter elements as do foundation plantings below a roofline that will take the brunt of falling snow and ice. And then there are the deer….
Winter Deer Control: Our local neighborhoods can be challenging because while some homeowners never see any deer on their properties, others just cannot keep them at bay. Nevertheless, depending on your location, deer will typically enjoy an abundance and variety of food in the woods during the spring, summer, and fall months. But, while foraging for food in winter, your plantings will become irresistible if they should come across them. Based on the habits of the deer in your area, there are different options to help deter them all year round. Winter deer control is another added service for our annual “green season” clients and can consist of wrapping, temporary fencing, and spraying of ornamental gardens.
Dormant Pruning Deciduous ornamental plants and grasses should be pruned when they are not actively growing. We can determine if any of the plants or grasses on your property would benefit from this service.
