The summer season officially began at 10:57AM this morning with the summer solstice – the longest day of the year because it has the most amount of daylight hours. Unfortunately, we will also start losing precious daylight each day as the sun will rise a few seconds later and set a few seconds earlier up until the time of the winter solstice (Dec. 21st) when the earth makes its celestial turn, and the days begin to get longer again.
So, for the next three months, take time to slow down, enjoy the fresh air, pleasant weather, invigorating sunshine, and warm summer nights as long as you can! ~Shayne
