◻️ Welcome Spring!
◻️ Estate Management
◻️ Spring Day of Service
◻️ Earth Hour
Spring is all about renewal and fresh beginnings. As landscape professionals, the arrival of spring brings both excitement and a flurry of activity as the temperatures rise, and dormant landscapes wake up. Our roles at this time include assessing properties for any winter damage, beginning spring cleanups, and preparing our routes for the upcoming green season. Aeration, dethatching and overseeding will come next, fertilization schedules will be adjusted as necessary, and IPM begins as pests also begin to emerge.
As we all prepare to spend more time outdoors, our crews are also prepping and scheduling the installation of hardscaping projects such as patios, outdoor fireplaces, and firepits to help our clients prolong and enhance their time outside with family and friends. Now is the time to let your consultant know of any upcoming projects you have in mind.
Happy Spring! ~Shayne
VERNAL EQUINOX
At 11:06PM tonight, while most of us are sleeping (and the Earth is spinning at 1,037 mph while flying through space at 66,627 mph), the sun will pass directly above the equator and the northern hemisphere will quietly welcome the spring season. If you think the vernal equinox – also called the spring or March equinox – seems early this year, you would be correct, and that is because of February’s leap day. This is also the earliest spring has arrived since 1896! ??????? ??????!
We offer regular garden maintenance services as well as seasonal estate landscaping services to keep your property looking its absolute best regardless of the season. You won’t need to juggle several vendors because YardScapes will manage all the landscape service needs of your property.
Having one company to manage an entire property has numerous benefits to the homeowner and it’s an investment that pays off in convenience, comfort, and reduced stress. Your dedicated consultant handles all the landscaping services to ensure the property is well-maintained, preserved and protected while giving the homeowner peace of mind knowing that everything is being expertly cared for.
The consultant ensures all tasks are done at the proper time while also getting to know the property well enough to notice when something isn’t right. Our goal is to make the process so smooth for homeowners that they only need to enjoy the end results.

2024 SPRING DAY OF SERVICE
Each year we perform two volunteer Days of Service in our local community. We hold the Spring Day of Service as close to Earth Day as possible and the Fall Day of Service is held in mid-autumn. This year, our Spring event will be held on Saturday, April 20th.
On this special day on the YardScapes calendar, team members, friends, family and business associates come together to perform spring cleanups at a few local non-profit organizations. Volunteers meet at YardScapes’ HQ for breakfast and to receive their assignment for the morning.
This event is important to Shayne and the entire YardScapes Team because it allows us to use our talents and muscle for the good of our entire community. Clean and inviting landscapes enhance the quality of life for all residents while also fostering a sense of pride for the community in which we live, work, and play.
EARTH HOUR
Earth Hour 2024 is a global initiative that encourages people to take action for the environment by switching off their lights and non-essential electrical devices for one hour. Here are the key details:
Earth Hour 2024 will take place on Saturday, March 23rd, starting at 8:30 pm.
During this hour, individuals, communities, and organizations around the world come together to raise awareness about climate change, energy conservation, and the need for sustainable practices.
The act of turning off lights for an hour symbolizes our commitment to protecting the planet and reducing our carbon footprint. Last year, over 410,000 hours were dedicated to our planet by supporters in over 190 countries and territories.
Join the Biggest Hour for Earth by spending 60 minutes doing something positive for our shared home. Whether it’s planting a tree, enjoying a candlelit dinner, or simply reflecting on our impact, every small action counts. ?
“Your company manages the property across the street from me and it always looks wonderful. I recently met one of your employees (Mark) and he was super friendly. Please contact me to set up a time to have someone come look at my property. Thank you!” – K.M. – New Milford
