‘TIS THE SEASON OF LIGHTS!
We associate many different symbols with the winter holiday season and their celebrations. There are angels, bells, candy canes, kinaras, menorahs, yule logs, reindeer, wreaths, and even a cheerful chubby man in a red suit. They all have their distinct and often ancient origins yet they all have the ability to spark wonderful memories of family, friends, food and time well spent with those important to us. But, there seems to be something missing until you add the lights!
Festive and mesmerizing, it seems that holiday decorating isn’t complete until the lights are hung and the switch turned on. Whether you prefer the soft twinkle of white lights on a Christmas tree, an intense and dazzling display with thousands of colorful LED’s pulsating to music, or something in-between, lights definitely create an instant ambiance that only adds to the holiday magic.
Our lights and holiday decorations are up at our headquarters and we’ve registered to be included on the map for Light Up New Milford, a holiday decorating event sponsored by NM Parks & Recreation. Starting on December 18th and ending on Dec. 31st, you can access the map of all the businesses and residences that have registered to be part of this town-wide celebration. Print the map, plan your driving strategy, make a thermos of hot cocoa, put on some holiday music and view this community extravaganza! And if you’re taking photos for your social media, don’t forget to tag us – we’d love to see them!
