Our Volunteers Stepped Up Again
Our Spring Day of Service was held on April 24th and the participation was impressive! Coinciding with Earth Day, our staff and their families locally cleaned over 100+ pounds of litter from sections of Aspetuck Ridge Road, Boardman Road, Paper Mill Road, River Road and Young’s Field. Our seasonal workers in Mexico joined in and had an equally impressive turnout of their own! Other allies and business associates voluntarily picked up litter from their own streets and neighborhoods while still more friends participated from Texas, Colorado, Maine and Massachusetts!
We also had a team that went to the Nathaniel Taylor House on Main Street and spruced up the grounds of the 1774 white colonial for the New Milford Trust for Historic Preservation while another team visited Pratt Nature Center for a spring cleanup.
Thank you again to all of you that volunteered and we hope to see you in autumn for our Annual Fall Day of Service event!
