April is the official month of about 35 separate observations and, of course, we are going to put National Lawn Care Month in the spotlight. There are also a few others that pertain directly to our field of expertise as landscape professionals so we will give them a shout-out too.
April is also:
- National Gardening Month
- World Landscape Architect Month
- National Volunteer Month
- Keep America Beautiful Month!

National Lawn Care Month is aimed at highlighting the important benefits well cared for green spaces provide for both people and the planet. Whether it is your own backyard or a public space, research has verified the many positive effects of green spaces to our air and water, and the quality of our own lives as well. – Shayne

EVERYONE GATHERS IN THE KITCHEN
Family and guests always seem to gravitate to the kitchen and our most cherished memories are often of fun times outdoors with family and friends. With a beautiful and functional outdoor kitchen you can easily combine the two while also creating an outside room! Sure, a simple grill and some patio furniture can facilitate a great evening, but we find that custom solutions far surpass the ordinary. While designing the outdoor kitchen of your dreams, we take into consideration your personal style, your entertaining style, and the property itself to exceed your expectations. From a simple grilling station to a more elaborate pizza oven, let us know how we can help!
AS SEEN ON TV!
Connecticut Grounds Keepers Association (CGKA) has made a commercial that is airing on local channels and features our own Director of Operations, Greg! This commercial is more of a public service announcement reminding homeowners to “Ask Your Landscaper” the important questions when deciding on a provider. These critical points should always be considered and assure that you are working with professionals.
Adding Instant Color
Colorful and frost hardy, spring pansies add instant color to landscapes while we wait for temperatures to warm up and our perennials to bloom. They can withstand below freezing temperatures for a short time and some thrive in colder temps. Once the heat and humidity arrive, they can be swapped out for summer annuals.
