The past few months have been challenging for everyone and we sincerely hope this message finds you all safe and healthy. We are doing our absolute best to continue servicing our client’s properties adhering to physical distancing guidelines with our own additional procedures in place to help keep us, our clients and our communities as safe as possible.
Our founding philosophy states, “We believe everyone, everywhere benefits from a connection with nature.” We know this concept is more important than ever as we all are trying to navigate the Covid-19 pandemic.
Fresh air and sunshine most definitely have a positive impact on our general well-being. Breathing in fresh air, taking a de-stressing walk in nature, getting a break from technology and enjoying outdoor adventures afford us the opportunity to step outside and appreciate all the wonderful sights, sounds and smells that our outdoor environments have to offer.
On Saturday April 25th I was able to get outside on a beautiful day and join co-workers, friends, clients, and community volunteers for YardScapes Day of Service. This annual event is very important to us as it allows YardScapes to support our communities while also being a fantastic team building occasion. We didn’t want to cancel this year, so we decided to host an on-line, virtual event! This year was unlike our standard Day of Service.
YardScapes Annual Day of Service Recap
In celebration of Earth Day and to recognize our annual Day of Service, our VIRTUAL COMMUNITY LITTER PICK-UP was held on Saturday, April 25th.
Our staff, friends, clients, and community members came together at 9:00AM for a Zoom meeting kick-off. Then, we hit the back roads, The Pratt Nature Center, and a few local parks to help clean them of unsightly litter – all while practicing safe social and physical distancing of course!
Visit our Day Of Service page, Facebook page or LinkedIn profile to see the wonderful photos we collected from our very enthusiastic volunteers!
