Spring arrived yesterday afternoon and the beautiful weather confirmed it! Flowers are popping up everywhere and you can see tinges of color in the treetops as their buds grow. Very soon, they will leaf out and all will be green and lush again. This certainly is a special time in the YardScapes year.
In a couple of weeks, we will have our annual Spring Kick-Off meeting, held when our seasonal staff return from places south of the border. These men come with fantastic attitudes, are eager to start work, and energize the entire team! At the Kick-Off, we reiterate YardScapes’ mission, go over procedures, review safety guidelines, and explain any new policies we’ve put in place over the winter. Service anniversaries are also awarded, and it’s all followed by a team-building cookout. ~Shayne

One of our favorite phone calls is one where a happy client wants to let us know what a great job our staff is doing. We all know that people are quick to criticize, but we sincerely appreciate it when a client takes a few quick minutes to type out an email or give us a call to praise our workers.
Please know that we record these comments in the employee’s personnel file, they are shared with the entire staff, posted on our website, and calculated into the point system we use to determine ‘Scaper of the Month each month, and ultimately, the highly coveted ‘Scaper of the Year awarded at the end of the year in December.
